Delisting

Bandai NAMCO announced ahead of the delisting that Pro Yakyuu Famista 2020 for Nintendo Switch would be removed from sale on May 31st, 2021. No explanation was given but considering the numerous sports leagues and TV networks credited on the game’s homepage, it would seem that expired licensing was the cause for the delisting. The announcement from the game’s homepage follows:

Along with Bandai NAMCO’s own copyrights, the game features licenses from the Nippon Professional Baseball Organization, Japan Professional Baseball Players Association, Japan Women’s Baseball League, Japan Softball Association, Baseball Challenge League, SHIKOKU ISLAND LEAGUE plus, HBL, Tokyo Big6 Baseball League, APPARE, Tokusan TV, and SWBC Japan.

  • Players from nine other baseball leagues are included
  • Added a single-player mode “Famista Story” and a party mode “Famitsa Party” allowing up to four players (one player per Joy-Con)
  • Including a mini game from Famitsa 64
