Delisting
Redhill Games announced on October 19th, 2022 that Nine to Five would be removed from Steam later that same day but that online play would remain accessible until January 18th, 2023, the same day that the Google Stadia service shut down. After that date owners are still be able to download and launch the game from their Steam library but it’s unclear if any modes or content will be playable. The team’s announcement follows:
We have important news regarding the future of Nine to Five we would like to share with you.
After careful consideration and deliberation, we have made a difficult decision to end the development of Nine to Five. This means there will be no further updates or patches, and the servers will remain open until January 18, 2023.
We realize that many people are passionate about Nine to Five and wish to see the game develop, grow, and succeed. However, we cannot give you regular updates, new content, and more people to play with, so our most difficult decision is also for the community — we want to be honest and respect your trust.
From this moment onwards, we will turn our attention away from developing our own titles and focus on working with other game developers on co-developing projects.
We understand that many of you will be disappointed and have a lot of questions regarding the future of Redhill Games, updates, and refunds, we hope that this FAQ will answer some of them.
In the time leading up to the shutdown, we will naturally disable in-game purchases and make all premium skins and bundles free.
We want to emphasize how grateful we are to you, our community. Our close-knit relationship and connection are very special to us. Your enthusiasm, patience, and support for our game have been overwhelming — we could not have gotten this far without you.

In Early Access since 2020, the game officially launched in May of 2022 but according to SteamDB chart data it wasn’t enough to kickstart a thriving community of players. The same situation is presumably true for the Google Stadia release.

WHAT IS NINE TO FIVE?
Nine to Five is a free-to-play 3v3v3 team focused first-person shooter! Set in a future where corporations rule and being their mercenary is just a regular day job, collaboration and smart team play are what get the job done around here – not just pure reflexes. Working with your co-mercenaries in a team of three, you will tackle changing objectives in each match, keeping everyone on their toes. Optimize your loadouts, mod your favorite weapons and make a killing!
A FUTURE RULED BY CORPORATIONS
Governments, as we currently know them, are defunct and replaced by corporations who will stop at nothing to destroy their comp- we mean, save the planet and serve humanity. Complete gigs for our corporate overlords Farmira, Mash Media, New World Finance and Milodyne to climb the corporate ladder!
THREE TEAMS OF THREE
You face off with two other teams of mercenaries, set out to complete the same objectives as you. Take advantage of a multitude of gadgets to help you and your co-mercenaries in your efforts – deploy drones to gather information and stay aware of your surroundings, or decoys to throw your adversaries off. Teamwork is key to finding success in the dynamically changing matches!
TOOLS OF THE TRADE
In addition to competent colleagues, you’ll need the best tools available to make a killing as a mercenary. With a wide range of weapons and mods in the arsenal, you will be able to customize your loadout to best suit your play style. This will make your climb up the corporate ladder much more fun (and violent).
HOSTILE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
From the streets of Old New York to the deserts of Varmstaad and building complexes of the Huxwell Clinic, you’ll have beautiful vistas to admire.
