Mistover to be delisted on PC and consoles June 30th

The team behind Mistover at KRAFTON announced on Sunday the 29th that the game would be removed from sale on June 30th. The decision affects the game on all platforms including PC (GOG.com, Microsoft Store, Steam), Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. Despite some concerns over the wording that the “service will be closing” — suggesting some functionality may be removed from the game — the announcement confirms that anyone who has purchased Mistover will continue to be able to download and play it after the deadline.

Hello, this is Aimo speaking.

To everyone who has shown their love and support for Mistover, we regretfully inform you with a heavy heart that the service will be closing as our journey comes to an end. We first launched Mistover on October 10th, 2019, and we made the difficult decision to close the service for this much-loved game effective June 30th, 2022. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has used our services and would like to ask for your generous understanding.

■ Service Termination Notice

1.     Service Termination Date: June 30th, 2022 (KST) [11:00am EST]
2.     Platforms where the game will no longer be available:
–      STEAM
–      PlayStation4
–      Xbox
–      Nintendo Switch
–      GOG.com

※     Even after the game no longer becomes available, customers who have already purchased the game will be able to download it.

Once again, we extend our deep gratitude to all the fans of Mistover for their love and support.

Thank you.

May 29th Announcement

The decision to remove the game is a bit of a mystery but with KRAFTON also shutting down the long running MMO, TERA, it could be that the company is scaling back on its offerings. Whatever the case, now is your last chance to grab the game digitally along with its Guilty Gear crossover DLC (which includes its own set of Achievements/Trophies). After June 30th the only option will be to track down an Asian retail copy on Switch or PlayStation 4. For those interested, both retails versions include multiple languages.

Thanks to everybody who pointed out the news, I’ve added the date to the Watch List calendar and will have a page up on the site later. Below is a bunch of links to the numerous digital releases of the game (so far, none are on a discounted sale):

PC (GOG.com, Microsoft Store, Steam)
Nintendo Switch (EU, JP, NA)
PlayStation 4 (EU, JP, NA)
