Thanks to an anonymous tip and JapaneseNintendo.com we’ve got word that Mario & Sonic at the Rio Olympics 2016 will be leaving the eShop for Nintendo Wii U and 3DS on December 27th at 10:00 JST (that’s December 26th at 8pm EST). The source links back to Nintendo Japan’s page for the game but I’ve found no mention of the delisting or if it applies to other territories.
For now, I’ve added the date to the Watch List calendar and will keep an eye on all digital versions of the game over the holidays to see when and where it disappears. In the meantime, there’s still a few definitive days to grab the game on download for Wii U or Nintendo 3DS.
