Delisting

The European, Australian, and Japanese Xbox 360 Games on Demand versions of Eternal Sonata were delisted by no later than April of 2018 according to TrueAchievements.com. The game remains available to download exclusively in North America as of May 2022.

The cause for the territorial delisting is uncertain. Possibilities include changes to Namco’s corporate structure over the years and across the regions. Some older releases are credited simply to ‘Namco’ where newer titles read ‘Namco Bandai Games’, neither of which represent the current entity of ‘Bandai NAMCO’. The split between the American and European divisions may also explain how we end up with a game delisted in some regions but not others, or delistings that are a year or more apart.

About the Game

On his deathbed, the famous composer, Chopin, drifts between this life and the next. In his final hours, he experiences a fantastical dream where he encounters a young girl facing a terrible destiny and the boy who will fight to save her. On the border between dreams and reality, Chopin discovers the light that shines in all of us in this enduring tale of good and evil, love and betrayal. Developed for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system by Tri-Crescendo and featuring the music of Chopin, Eternal Sonata delivers amazingly detailed 3D graphics, a captivating storyline with over 30 hours of gameplay and an innovative action battle system.
