Eighteen 3DS & DSi titles delisted in Japan May 26th, potential for more delistings worldwide

Eighteen 3DS & DSi titles delisted in Japan May 26th, potential for more delistings worldwide

[UPDATE 06/02/21] The North American and European versions of these titles appear to be sticking around. They were still available as of June 2nd. We will continue to check on their availability for a time.

Publisher Teyon Japan announced through an eShop notice on Sunday that several 3DS and DSi titles would be delisted on May 26th, 2021 at 10:00 JST. The majority of the titles come from developer Gamelion who also published these titles themselves outside of Japan. Two titles are from developer Orange and are exclusive to Japan.

Since the titles come from different developers it seems that the delistings are related to Teyon’s publishing arrangements between the separate parties. However, there’s growing concern that Gamelion might have finally ceased operations after their final release at the end of 2014. Between 2010 and 2014 the studio produced close to 30 digital titles across Nintendo DSi, 3DS, and PlayStation Portable. As of right now the majority of these are still available but we only know for certain that the Japanese releases from Teyon will disappear this coming week. Gamelion’s website looks to have gone offline as recently as May 4th, adding to the concern that all of their titles will soon be delisted worldwide.

Below are the confirmed titles to be delisted in Japan on May 26th. If any of them sound particularly interesting you might want to grab them in your region of choice just in case they’re delisted there as well. And if you’d like to see all of Gamelion’s titles which may-or-may-not be delisted soon, check out their roster here.

Thanks to Icyelut and BowzasaurusRex who both pointed out the news to the site. I’ve added the date to the Watch List calendar and will keep an eye on their availability outside of Japan this week.
