Just about a year ago, in February of 2019, Load Inc’s well regarded toy racer Mad Tracks was delisted from Xbox 360, ending an impressive twelve year run on sale. At the time we thought it might have been caused by the developer closing up shop but Load Inc has been quietly prepping an updated Steam release since last Fall. It looks like the original game was actually delisted due to a change in publishing rights from D3 to Plug In Digital who will be handling the new release.
Unfortunately, we don’t know if the game will return to Xbox 360 or appear outside of Steam but we shouldn’t have to wait much longer to find out. While the official release date is “Early 2020” the game’s IndieDB page specifies March 10th. Look for it later this month on Steam, in the meantime I’ve updated the game’s page on the site with the news.
