[UPDATE 04/22/23] As expected, Consortium was also delisted on Steam on Friday the 21st. iDGi confirmed later in the day on their Discord server that the Remastered release will be coming “later this year” and provided info on how to play a beta version of it for owners of the existing game. Our original post from April 20th continues below.
The murder-mystery-on-a-plane adventure, Consortium, originally launched back in 2014 being followed up by Consortium: The Tower in 2017 with the upcoming Consortium VR now in the works. In the meantime, Interdimensional Games has just revealed that they’ll be re-releasing the original entry in their “iDGi-1 Trilogy” later this year as Consortium Remastered.
To clear up any confusion on storefronts, and with the end of their existing publishing deals, it’s been confirmed that the GOG.com release of Consortium 2019 REBALANCE will be delisted on Friday morning, April 21st at 1pm UTC (9am EST). iDGi’s GreatBird also confirmed the news on the studio’s Discord server which implies the Steam release will also be delisted soon:
Today is literally the last day that folks will be able to buy the original CONSORTIUM. As of tomorrow (April 21st) at 21:21 Pacific, the game will be renamed CONSORTIUM 2014 and will cease to be available. A present will also show up in everyone’s Steam library at that time. Wait for it……
