SingleFile Extension: Save any webpage as a single file
I've been thinking for a while that I should be capturing my own versions of the pages and sites that I link to on the site. I use a lot of links to Archive.org (my No.1 source in all this researching) but being able to present my own rock-hard captures that I can count on never going dead would be ideal. It'd also be ideal if I had the time to manage another collection for the site.
That's why this Chrome and Firefox extension, SingleFile, sounds handy. I haven't tried it yet but it appears to capture an entire webpage (sans video or other streaming media embeds) in a single file that will hopefully be readily viewable by anyone else. I may experiment with it soon but I definitely wanted to pass it on as another tool in the researching/archiving toolkit.
