Delisting

Rovio’s dedicated PC version of Angry Birds Star Wars was delisted on November 13, 2014. This was the date that Rovio ended distribution of their PC releases in order to better support the mobile versions. Rovio’s support statement follows:

Why have PC games been discontinued? Will they receive further updates?

We have decided to discontinue development on PC games to focus on providing a better experience for these games on mobile devices. This change takes effect on November 13th, 2014.  Starting from this date, PC games will no longer be available for purchase or download. Additionally, these games will no longer receive updates. To play the most recent versions of the games, please search for the mobile versions of the games on the app marketplace associated with your mobile device.

– Rovio Support

The Microsoft Store version of the game remained available for some time after. An exact delisting timeframe is unknown, but it may have been removed in December 2018 alongside Angry Birds Space.

On consoles, Angry Birds Star Wars was likely delisted in early 2016. The earliest mention found is from February 20th when a user on GameFAQs questioned its availability on PlayStation Vita. On Nintendo.com the last active capture that shows the game as available was on February 23rd, 2016 and even earlier on Xbox.com, on June 1st, 2015.
The game was available for roughly three years on most platforms and was likely delisted due to expired licensing from Rovio, the creators of Angry Birds. The timeline matches with the Angry Birds Trilogy, also published on consoles by Activision, and also delisted roughly three years after release. The game remains available on physical media.
