Here’s a brief follow up to last month’s news about Metal Max titles being delisted in Japan: NIS America announced on June 22nd that their European and North American releases of Metal Max Xeno for PlayStation 4 will be removed from sale on August 6th, 2022. Retail copies from the publisher remain available but are becoming harder and harder to find in stock.
Kadokawa released the remake of the game across Asia in 2020 which publisher PQube just recently localized for Western markets as Metal Max Xeno Reborn. The change in publishing rights between NIS’s 2018 original and the 2022 update is the most likely cause for the english language delisting.
