Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus was silently delisted from Steam back on January 30th but a short advanced notice was just given ahead of its removal from GOG.com. According to the GOG forum post, developer/publisher Membraine Studios has ceased operations and as such the game will be removed from sale on March 31st at 1pm UTC. Looking back at the game’s Steam forums however, developer The Magos confirmed on January 30th that the studio’s license of the Warhammer property had expired.
Most Warhammer titles get at least a few years on the market before their licenses expire but in the case of Dominus it’s been just one year since its release. Did the license expire because Membraine was no longer in operation? Whatever the case is behind the scenes, you’ve only got a few weeks left to grab the game from GOG.com before it’s gone.
Membraine’s only other title, Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire, was previously delisted on Steam in April of 2018, also at the hands of an expired license. Thanks to an anonymous tipster for pointing out the news, I’ve added the date to the Watch List calendar and will have a page up on the site later.
