Sony Japan just updated their Online Service Information page on November 19th, announcing the end of online multiplayer and services for a handful of Vita titles and one long-standing PlayStation 3 title. The text reads mostly the same for each game, pointing out that online services will be terminated on December 24th, 2021. They reiterate
PlayStation 3, Vita lose direct payment options October 27th, some titles become inaccessible in Japan
Although Sony has delayed shutting down the PlayStation Store for their older consoles, they are now shoring up the store’s functionality on PlayStation 3 and Vita. For most of us this will make things a little more inconvenient but it’s going to result in Japan’s CERO Z-rated titles becoming unobtainable after October 27th. First, here

Sony and the LBP team announced today that online servers for LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3 (on PlayStation 3), and LittleBigPlanet for Vita will not be coming back online. Although many feared the worst — that PSP games, DLC, demos, and themes would disappear completely — it looks like the majority will continue
Ephemeral Dilemma: Losing demos with unlockable content
As we get ever closer to a day when the doors shut for good on the PlayStation Store for Sony’s legacy consoles, we’re thinking more and more about the content that will be lost. Beyond the games themselves there’s DLC and add-ons, Themes, Avatars, and the rare soundtrack release. We’ve even seen folks express interest
Friendly Reminder: These PSP digital exclusives aren’t getting any easier to find
One-week reminder that Sony is retiring the unclarified “commerce functionality” for the PlayStation Portable come July 2nd. It’s still uncertain exactly what that means but it’s a good time to reiterate that the digital exclusives below will only become harder to get as time goes on. For the time being, the titles can still be
PlayStation website loses Party, Friends, and Trophy info on June 28th
I managed to catch the latest on Sony’s Important Notice page over the weekend since it’s been so frequently updated these past six months. Unfortunately, the newest change is another step backwards for PlayStation’s web-based offerings. The latest change pertains to the My PlayStation section at the top-right of the PlayStation.com homepage when you’re logged
