Delisting

On September 4th, 2013, a notice was sent to registered users and posted to the BattleForge forums that the game would be shut down on October 31st. The notice read:

Today we bring sad news to the world of Nyn as the rift between our worlds is coming to a close, and with this we come to the unfortunate retirement of BattleForge.

The decision to retire older games is never easy. We hope you’ve enjoyed playing BattleForge as much as we enjoyed making it and we wish to extend our sincerest thanks to all of our passionate and dedicated players for supporting BattleForge over the past 4 years. Those of you who still have a balance of in-game currency are encouraged to spend it before the game is shut down on October 31st and is no longer available for play.

This announcement came months after the reported closing in July 2013 of the developer, EA Phenomic, the German studio behind BattleForge, Lord of Ultima, and Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances.

About the Game

BattleForge is an epic fantasy game that pioneers strategy gaming with its online multiplayer design and robust community features. Players forge their own army with virtual trading cards and team up online to battle each other or the many challenges in the game world of Nyn. Battleforge combines the pace of RTS play with the customization of trading card games.
