Delisting

An approximate timeframe for the delisting of Armillo from the Nintendo Wii U eShop has yet to be established. The game was submitted to the site in April 2019 but no archived links have been found to substantiate when it was last available to buy. However, it is likely that the delisting relates to Nintendo’s developer licensing. According to sources, Nintendo is no longer renewing Wii U licenses and once these expire all titles from the developer are eligible to be removed. The game remained available in Europe and Japan until March 27, 2023 when Nintendo shut down the Wii U eShop.

Six years to the day after its original release, Fuzzy Wuzzy Games published Armillo on Steam on July 3rd, 2020. It was offered for free indefinitely as a goodwill gesture.

About the Game

Armillo is a unique, fun rolling platforming game with a sci-fi parallel universe theme. It features a massive amount of gameplay elements. For one, there is the regular 3D world, followed by a bonus stage on the moon. Then there is the evil parallel universe, and special 2D speed-run inspired worlds. Lots of unexpected deadly twists, and surprises await! The star of the game features a space armadillo named Armillo.

He’s not your usual armadillo as he’s capable of blasting off to space in order to travel from planet to planet. He’s joined by his little blue critter friends and his brother. What’s supposed to be a peaceful galaxy becomes ruined by the invasion of the robotic Darkbots. Where are they from? Why are they here? But one thing is for sure, they certainly are not the friendly type.
